Get the Look: Orange and Blue Elegant Sitting Room
Orange isn’t the easiest color to decorate with. It might perhaps even be the last color you would ever dream of incorporating into your home decor. But the right tone of orange can really brighten up a space. And when it paired with blue as is the case with this Get the Look, it’s a winning combination.
I like to think of this look as inspired by an elegant garden room or sunroom. So if you’re like most people and don’t have that room in your current abode,this is a way to create the look in another room of your room, like the living room, or even a breakfast nook would be suited perfectly for this.
Incorporating traditional style furniture as seen here with some modern prints in the form of pillows and the geometric area rug is a great way to liven up a room while still creating a timeless look. I also love mixing different types of accessories for a curated look so the vintage botanical prints here are paired with modern cobalt blue ombre vases, a modern mirror, and an elegant glass table lamp. Perhaps my most favorite element of this look is the faux orange tree. It really kind of brings the “look” together, bringing the outdoors in and I also like the usage of an orange tree as a great option not typically used. Of course, any type of tree would work — below I’ve linked some different options. For further style, you could also place the tree in a gold planter as seen here. It is an instant way to bring life to a space, especially in a room that doesn’t allow enough sunlight for the real thing. Plus, it is an affordable way to make a room look more elegant, as you can find some great planter options from retailers, like Amazon.
For a more affordable take on this look, you can consider just some new additions like the accessories featured for an easy way to update your room. It’s amazing how more minor tweaks in accessories and the infusion of color can really transform a space!
